Our team has represented clients in unique competition law matters, which have changed legal thinking and about which could be said „the first time in Latvia and in the Baltics”. We have rendered legal assistance in complex cases of abuse of dominant position. The lawyers of Grunte & Cers have successfully represented the interests of clients on prohibited agreements and cartels.
The team from Grunte & Cers has participated in the drafting in the Cabinet of Ministers, Parliament and Competition Council of a new concept – dominant position in retail trade and with respect to other amendments to the Competition Law.
We have prepared a large number of company manuals on competition law, provided seminars and trained personnel on competition law issues. We also have examined the knowledge of personnel and performed audits with an aim to verify compliance with competition law (including participating in dawn raids). We have assisted clients in drafting clauses in labour and service agreements, to allocate risk with respect to compliance with competition law.
